Growing up in a large family has always been an adventure.
For our parents who immigrated to America in the 1960's from the island kingdom of Tonga, it was always their intention
to find something we could do together that would keep us close. With music imbedded deep in our culture and heritage,
music was the answer for the Wolfgramm family and the start of a long journey into the entertainment world.
Traveling
from city to city and performing as a polynesian review show was our "regular" way of life. Dad was adventurous
and mom always tried keep things in perspective. For us sisters and our brothers, all that mattered
was that we were together. The memories of sleeping at rest areas and camping in between cities when our van
broke down kept us grounded. Food was scarce at times and sometimes bologna sandwiches was breakfast , lunch
and dinner but somehow we managed with Dad's creative menus.
But as time went on we were blessed
to perform all over the world. We even had the opportunity to make mom and dad's dream come true and go
to our native country of Tonga and perform for our people and king.
Even after over 20 years of enjoying success and
dealing with failures in the music business, we are happy to say, we've survived as a family.
Nowadays for
us girls, our time is spent changing diapers, dropping kids off at school and trying to balance home and family. Music
took a turn to the side 'til only recently when we got together in between having babies to record a CD of our favorite
hymns.
Thinking that this was a project we were doing for our kids, "Love At Home" has surprised us in
so many ways... The response we've received from friends and family about this project has brought us to the studio
and stage again where we've been given the chance to sing and share with others what matters most to us and
our family.
Thank you for all your love and support, Ofa atu, Kat, Liz, Mo, Jen and Lei
